USER DATA DELETION POLICY

Soul Charitable Trust (“we,” “us,” “our”) respects your right to control your personal data. This page explains how you can request the deletion of your personal information collected through soulct.org.

  1. WHAT DATA CAN BE DELETED

Upon request, we can delete the following personal information associated with you:

  • Name, email address, phone number, and postal address
  • PAN card details submitted for tax receipts
  • Enquiry/contact form submissions
  • Newsletter or communication preferences
  • Any other personal data you have shared with us directly
  1. WHAT DATA CANNOT BE FULLY DELETED

Please note that certain data may need to be retained even after a deletion request, due to legal and regulatory obligations, including:

  • Donation transaction records, as required under the Income Tax Act and FCRA regulations
  • Records required for audit, accounting, or compliance purposes
  • Data already shared with government/regulatory authorities as legally mandated

In such cases, we will anonymize or restrict further use of your data wherever possible, instead of complete deletion.

  1. HOW TO REQUEST DATA DELETION

To request deletion of your personal data, please send an email to [your email] with the subject line “Data Deletion Request” and include:

  • Your full name
  • Email address/phone number used at the time of donation or enquiry
  • Nature of your request (full deletion / specific data deletion)

  1. PROCESSING TIME

We will process and confirm your data deletion request within 30 days of receiving it. If any data cannot be deleted due to legal obligations (see Section 2), we will inform you of the reason and the retention period.

  1. CONFIRMATION

Once your data has been deleted (excluding legally retained records), we will send you a confirmation email to the email address on file.
